Discover VIBE as from 11th May
As from Friday 11th May 2018, the population of Mauritius and Rodrigues will discover VIBE, a song competition created by MCB, through its first « prime ».
Alain Law Min, CEO MCB Ltd: “We have also wanted to provide Mauritians with a high quality program, to be viewed by families at home on Friday evenings. We also wanted to bring home that feel-good factor which has been lacking in Mauritius for a while now”.
MCB wanted to go further than its simple purpose as a bank and to position itself as an enabler to showcase Mauritian talents. MCB also aims at providing those aged 16 and above the perfect opportunity to rise to the challenge and to live their passion to the fullest.
As from Friday 11th May, viewers will see the performance of 47 candidates and the three choices of the jury composed of Annick Clarisse, Vishal Mungroo and Richard Hein and of the vocal coach, Linzy Bacbotte Raya, during six prime time shows. The final will be broadcast on Friday 6th July.
During the casting, MCB team has been contacted by The Voice (France), which has expressed much interest in the Mauritian talents. For the semi-finals which will be recorded on 30th and 31st May, Pascal Guix, The Voice (France) boss and Baptiste Jung will be in attendance in Mauritius. MCB is currently exploring avenues of collaboration with The Voice (France).
VIBE’s winner will scoop Rs 100,000, whilst the second and third candidates will earn prizes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Alain Law Min has also elicited the possibility of accompanying the winner in a musical project.
